Title: TLD15
Post by: Roger on December 06, 2010, 02:52:12 AM
Ok, I've never owned a Shimano smaller than the TLD 20. Well, this afternoon I bought four of the 15's from a guide up on Lake Texoma. These reels have never seen saltwater. They've been used for stripers only. Three of them are suppose to be in real good shape one has some wear to it. Anybody got any opinions on these little reels.

Nice reels, nothing complicated, easy to work on. Changing the handle out to a larger grip makes a big improvement. Your new reels look like they are in great shape!

They are great reels when fished within their limits. If you push them too hard, the frame will torque and fry the gears. And like all lever drags, too much drag will crush the pinion gear. But fish them right and you'll love them
