What kind of a premium does a Baker frame International bring?

Not so much anymore. All current and recent Internationals already have a one piece frame so a Baker frame really only benefits an older model -- but older models had weaker drags and other issues that make them inferior to current models even with one piece frame.

But some of the 'older' International reels are still older, and the older internals can be updated.  If you have Baker frames that are topless, there is still a market for them.  The competition from the current reels stems from the facts that current models are typically smaller and lighter, but also at a much greater price tag.
