Hey Marlin,
I have a bunch of ahab trolling reels and am always adding more to my collection. If you have any questions or need additional info I'd be glad to help you. I service these old tanks in and out. Also who is the Fin- Nor parts guy in NC you mentioned? Thanks .
-Lenny
His name is David Conners. His business is "the reelhealer" His email address is: dcconners@msn.com. His phone number is 336 521 4088.
Very helpful guy and always looking to provide support for Fin Nor owners. not sure how up to date this is??
Thanks ,
I'll definitely reach out to him. I know ahab trolling reel parts are hard to come by that's why I'm stocking up on them when I can. Do you collect ahabs too ?
I do not collect them. Occasionally get them in for repair.
The old FIN NOR stuff appears to be rugged. The newer stuff (AHAB included).....i'm not a fan of.
To each their own
The ahabs were definitely overbuilt. The new Chi-Nor Santiago and marquesas aren't in the same league.
