Title: Full drag = Strike drag setting plus X%. Is there a formula?
Post by: japeto on December 09, 2017, 12:09:13 AM
On my LX 6/3 Raptor, if strike drag is set at 18lbs, full drag will be 23lbs. Put another way, full drag is about 27% more than strike drag with strike at 18lbs.

This made me wonder if the Avet engineers have a formula to estimate approximate full drag if strike drag is set at X lbs.  Anyone know?  Just curious.

i'm certain they'd planned something, but don't count on it being precise or reproducible, reel to reel.  even thousandths of an inch in thickness of the cams could mean pounds of difference when going from strike to full.  being metal, they will wear down over the years and change even further.
