Title: Increasing Drag on the Revo Inshore
Post by: mikelowe on September 10, 2009, 06:50:52 PM
Alan,   on the Revo Inshore re-build, you perform an upgrade where one of the spring washers is moved from the stock location to a position underneath the bearing inner tube.     I'm having a little trouble seeing in the photograph the orientation of the washers in their new positions.

Should the concave sides of the spring washers be facing the tube both on top and below it.

Like this:   gear, drag washers,  (   inner tube,  thrust washer, star click,    )

Or does it matter.............

Also, could you explain briefly, how this is able to increase the drag.

Many Thanks.

what was happening was that the star was bottoming out.  go through yours and see what kind of drag you get first.  no one needs 24 pounds of drag from a low profile baitcaster, anyway!
