New Penn Slammer III 6500 High Gear reel from Penn just arrived in time for yellowtail popping in Korea.
The 6500 has 40lb's of drag and has a ratio of 6.2:1 47 inches of line retrieval per turn of the handle.
The reel will be tested for yellowtail in Korea, drum or tarpon in Fl, striper in Cape Cod as well as rooster in PV this year.
The reel is slightly smaller than IRT 600 and it weighs 25.8 oz with line.

The Production Slammer III HS will come with a spare handle assembly, you may have received a pre-production or field test reel if you didn't get one, see pic.
I don't have the jigging handle assembly. I believe I got the testing model. But it is OK as I use the reel primariliy for popping.
