Both have alps seats, Fuji SiNII guides, the blue/green one is spiral wrapped, blue/purple is wrapped conventionally.

I don't see John work getting better, you can't improve perfection. This man has been pretty consistent from the beginning, all his rods look perfect.
I agree with Sal my Jon Vadney stick is perfect and almost two years old.

I most certainly don't put out perfection. I can find at least 10-15 flaws in every rod I build, but if those things didn't annoy me I wouldn't be trying to get better all the time.
