Title: Question on Daiwa Z30L handle removal
Post by: Song62 on March 20, 2018, 07:39:15 AM
Sorry, first time posting.

Can anyone advice me how to remove the handle so that I can access the parts to clean it.

I read the z40 tutorial and it says to turn the handle till the handle nut can be removed.
As this is a lefty,  do I turn clockwise or anticlockwise ?
Do I need to tighten the stardrag?
The nut is very tight though.

Thanks in advance for any advice I can get.

Being a lefty reel the nut will be left handed also. Move the nut both ways to get it to loosen up. Always apply grease to the threads before putting the nut back on. Don't leave a blob of grease on top of the gear stud.
