Title: Shimano Sahara 2500FB Bail Assembly - Needed
Post by: sundancer on October 01, 2019, 11:14:19 PM
good evening gents

bought a box full 'o stuff.  has a shimano sahara 2500fb that needs a bail assembly.  the non-roller side is broken and the bail wire is kinda out of shape.

can't find one in a quick search.

thoughts?

thoughts:

1) GO BAILLESS

2) a "for parts" reel is about same price as a new bail & gives you SO MUCH MORE: esp., a 2nd bearing to replace the plastic bushing on the main gear & spare tiny line-roller bearing (quickest to die)

phil....

I thought about bail-less but i was wrong on the broken side..  the Roller side is broken..

and you're right, on the parts Reel - there was a Penn 109 in the lot, that will be scavenged..
