I know this will sound like a silly trivial question, but it is important for me to have input from as many of the Ohana as possible.
I'm in prototype stages of new handle/knob project and looking for input from the Ohana.
What I'd like to know is which grip you most commonly use ?? Here are the 2 examples using a 113H T-bar handle.
Do you grip this handle with just one finger on top half, or 2 fingers on top half ??
For myself, I always use just one finger on upper half of the knob.
Thanks in advance, Ted
One finger for me also, Ted --
Best,
Fred
Mostly one finger on top with weight on the line.
Gfish
one finger! ;D
Same -- one finger on top /Joe
One finger
One finger. And I'll take mine, whatever it is you're dreaming up, in 4.5", 1 1/8" from top to spindle. ;D ;D ;D
I cant get my kielbasas in the groove on Alan C's fantastic handles dangit.
One Finger!
1 finger!
........Lou
Well...as much as I'd like to be different...I'm in the one finger guild too! 8)
1 finger Ted
One finger for me too Ted.
;D As much as I hate to be a conformist and go with the crowd....
I am a one finger also looks like "One" won.
Rick
thank Ted, thumb & idex finder @ the top, cheers Don.
Ted, I don't use any fingers on the top. I just use my thumb. :D Dominick
(1) trigger finger only on top!
Depends...when the fishing is really good I get blisters between my fingers so I switch it up depending on the pain level.
Mike
One finger on top for me.

Mr Jones, is that you in your avatar ???
One
one finger it is
Has to do with the knob size you're thinking of using. On larger knobs, my index sits against the knot shaft, just the thumb is above

If I were to place my index on top as you're showing, the tip of my thumb would hit the arm as it rotates.
The way I'm showing, helps keeping my elbow close to my side, that's how I like it on heavy cranking.
But...I do not have girly hands ;) ;D
Sal
Perfect Sal, that's really the correct answer. It definitely depends on the knob size and style.

That is a picture of my grandfather circa WWII.
Yeah, I've got several of my Dad's WWll artifacts. The best being the wool dress blues, like in your avatar.
Gfish
2 fingers for me.
I do the vulcan death grip (2 fingers) like Mo, but if I can adapt from lefty to righty than I can adapt to 1 on top and 3 down low... or as Sal has shown.
Dom
PS- Sal, you certainly don't have "girly hands", lol
