Title: I Lost a Great Friend
Post by: mo65 on April 22, 2023, 07:43:15 AM
My friend Rob Phillips had a massive heart attack and died last Sunday night...right after him and my brother got back from their first trip out on the river this year. Those of you who watch my videos have seen Rob...he was always the life of the party...everyone just loved that guy. I spent some of my best fishing adventures with Rob, fantastic memories. Godspeed my friend. :'(

Here's a link to his memorial. https://fb.me/e/2B8vzwHUb

Deepest Condolences, Mike —-

The times and friendship you guys enjoyed are what is important.

The time for those trips and friendship is now.

Those who always wait for tomorrow —- will never experience the joy of today.

Best, Fred

So true Fred, we never know when our last trip will be so we have to make every one of them a good experience. true friends and good fishing buddies are hard to come by.
Make them all count.

I'm so sorry for your loss Mo. I lost one of my best fishing friends two years ago and I still think of him every time that I get on a boat, and you probably will too.  It's almost like seeing them again.

MO,

My heart is sad for you.

Losing a dear friend and fishing buddy, so early in his life, your days will be different.

Always remember your times together, and keep his memories warm and vibrant.

Remind his family of the times you both enjoyed.

Life is short and precious.

All the best to you.

Wayne

A sad day indeed. I know the feeling and the void will always be there in the back of your mind, but those good times together will always be front and center.

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words and support. It's been tough the past few weeks, got a big hole in my heart where ol' Robbie once was. I feel so bad for his kids, he was a HUGE part of their lives, any weekend he wasn't fishing he had his grandbabies over.
I'm starting to get that itch though...you know the one...to get out on that water. It's gonna be different, but I think it will also be good, probably therapeutic. 8)

Mike, I'm very sad to hear this. It's gonna be a little tough, but I expect he is wanting you to get back in the saddle and double down on those big cats for him.
