Title: Fall Coho morning trip
Post by: gstours on October 14, 2021, 03:49:14 PM
Here,s a short clip of how some of us primitive people face some hardship, and still have fun.
Many people have kept their small boats and skiffs especially in the lower river mouth on floating and dry land docks.   The freshwater is more kind to bottom growth on the hulls, and quite a bit more accessable than a mooring,  butt is always tidal influenced for coming or going.
Its quaint ,  butt its what they do.    On tides of 12 feet or more the skiff can go usually 2 hours before the actuall hi tide hour and return about 2 hous following durring the ebb.
So lets shove off for the morning trip.  We were lucky to get some nice September weather,  and catch a few Coho salmon too. ;)

THere are boats lined up above the high tide line all over the sound and canal. What is great is that you get to fish last of the flood and the beginning of the ebb, so no matter where you are there is bait being pushed towards you for part of the day.

Coho is my favorite! Looks yummy!

 Very nice !!

Nothing better than fresh coho on the bbq. Hope you get your share as they migrate past you. Coho are good fighters too. Very acrobatic and loads of fun, especially on those nice weather days !!
