Title: Cal's Grease on spinning reels Carbontex drag washers
Post by: jig-guy on May 05, 2021, 12:01:58 AM
? Is it recommended to put a light coating of Cal's Grease on spinning reel drag washers. I have been using Cal's grease for years on my conventional reels and never used it on spinning reels because I just do not use them. I have a Penn Battle 5000 series which uses 5 drag washers. Should I put the Cal's grease on my new Carbontex drag washer set. I hope to hear form you folks and thank you for your help.

For sure.  I changed all my Shimano's to (lightly) greased Carbontex from Dawn's.
