Title: New reel seat - test photos + Everol 12/0
Post by: UKChris1 on April 06, 2022, 02:31:39 PM
I'm hoping this works OK as I've not had much success in the past. Anyway, here are a few pictures of the rebuilt 130 rod I mentioned in another thread.

If I've made a huge mistake in trying to post pictures this way, please delete this and I'll hide my face in shame!

Chris

Edit to add Everol reference in title

Looking good, so I've taken the liberty of adding a couple more.

Gotta love those Everol reels. I've rebuilt a few of them with the Carbon drags from Italy.

Gotta love those Everol reels. I've rebuilt a few myself with new Carbon drags from Italy.

That reel makes my everol feel insignificant.

She's a beauty.

An 18/0 - lovely!

I got my 12/0 from a chap in Holland years ago. It was pretty grubby but a good clean up, re-grease and general service brought it back to 'as new' apart from one of the rod braces that remained stuck.

I remember fishing for giant bluefin in Ireland - without success I am sorry to say - and the skipper said his 14/0 Everol reels were the best ever for that job. He always regretted selling them! Tough as anything, unbreakable even by complete idiots, and with the smooooothest drag even under power.

I'll pop a couple of pictures of my other two up too.
