Title: Shimano Speedmaster bearing question
Post by: 4/0 on October 29, 2013, 10:15:25 PM
I have a quite a few more Speedmasters to go through and have found everyone needs a new driveshaft bearing. I had 12 of them and used all of them and I have 17 more of these reels.
Shimano part number is 483 and shimano does not list the bearing, just the spool bearings. I found a Boca bearing that matches the size 8x16x5 mm.
Are these bearings ok to substitute?

Thanks,

Butch

As long as they are stainless steel. Yes.
