Title: What is this 114H part?

Disassembling my 114H and this fell out.  Damned if I see it in the diagrams and I'm starting to question my sanity.  Dog spring for scale.

....most folks ask what that little bent piece of copper is and where does it go ?? .....those answers are always here, and any question about a reel is what this forum is all about. I
