Title: Jigmaster 500L question
Post by: Maxed Out on October 21, 2021, 10:18:23 PM
Can someone please enlighten me what catalog the 500L first appeared in ??

I have 1st gen 500L in correct box,(yes there's a difference) but it's missing the catalog. My aim is to get the right catalog and make it whole again.

Thanks, Ted

Henry, the 500 intro was plastic or chrome spool. The 500L (aluminum spool) came along several years later

Thanks Daron, I was hoping we could figure this out without bothering Mike.

Nope  just shows N0. 500 - 501. on page 15  copyright 1973.
Don't show in the 1967 30b nor 1969 32b neither. Ain't in the 89 b from 1989
I got some more buried at the shop just have to dig through them .
Maybe the First showing was the 36b ? 1974-75 ?

Thank you Henry. I'll post a pic of the reel tomorrow. The first version of 500L was unique to all other 500L

As promised. Here is the very 1st edition of the jigmaster 500L. So few of these around leads me to think the silver aluminum spool was very short lived. The 501 with silver aluminum spool is even harder to find
