Decided to create a table of line diameters of commonly-used braids and monofilaments. Any time I'm deciding on a reel I always have to go back and forth between a bunch of tabs to find monofilament diameters and braid diameters and reel line capacities, and it's just a big mess - so, here's a page where you can compare average monofilament and braid diameters. Sooner or later I'll just set up a website with a bunch of pages like this one, but for now it's on a Google Doc. Keep in mind these are rough estimates, for a quick glance-at to tell what kind of line capacity you could get on a reel - not for exact measurements of line capacity. Enjoy!

IF you're interested in the brands of line I compared;
- Ande, Asso, Berkley, Hi-Seas, Momoi, Platypus, Sea Striker, SpiderWire, Stren, Sufix, and Yo-Zuri monofilaments
- Sufix 832 for solid braid, and JB for hollow core
