Big Tim and I were discussing this on our way home from Salmon Fishing.
Since we have a BBQ , I was thinking about a Tri Tip , and pasta is always easy.
Lets make it anything goes but post what you are bringing so we don't end up with 3 jello salads😛
Jonathan - BBQ Huli Huli Pork and Huli chicken (late add)
BT - Poke and Rice OK
Steve - Green salad and Tomatoes , Wasabi , ginger and Soy sauce
Ron - Beer and Ice pimp🍻
Mike - Smoked Sausages , Cuban Longanisa , Portuguese linguisa
PJ - Fruit Cobbler
Emelito - Side dish?
JT, I'll do Poke & Rice so Alan get's his rice fix. I'll get with Alan and see if he has any fish from his recent trip left he would like to donate as well ;D
Tim

Have you ever had the Salvadoran style , made about 3 inch's long and usually left in link form?
Most delicious!
I need a head count for dinner on Nov 5 at Alan's folks house so I can make sure to get enough meat.
Also if anyone else is planning on bringing a dish.
I know that if we want Randy to bring sashimi on the boat we will need someone to bring wasabi and soysauce on Sunday.
Volunteers???
I've got a fresh tube of wasabi.
I'll get a small container of thin sliced pickled ginger.
I'm a low salt soy sauce guy if that's OK.
Steve

Menu change from Tri Tip to Huli Huli Pork Loin.
PJ,
I have 8 confirmed but haven't heard from everyone yet.
I may call Alan later and see if he has any other confirmations.
Jonathan, if we have enough for 10 we most likely will have leftovers unless you, Steve & myself get on a roll ;D
Tim
may i bring something! whatever... :D ;D ;) :)
Hey Mel thanks for checking in.
Any side dish would be good.
It seems that we are headed in direction towards Polynesian flair but what ever is good!
Thanks,
Jonathan
Jonathan check this out;

my head is already spinning from prepping gear and now it's going haywire... :D ;) :)
Oh Yea!
Mel that Rumaki recipe is something my Great grandma Teta made at Xmas time .
Mmmmm Ya!
Great link........
I just printed that recipe out. I'm going to add it to the stuff we bring to the Thanksgiving get together at the in laws.
Great link!
I'm sure I will be overdoing it but my Save Mart across the street is going to put their largest Prawns on add for $6.99 a pound and Jonas crab claws @ $5.99 per lb. So I will add Italian to the food as well ::) It's what i do.
Tim
I hope the neighbors don't call the police. ;D

Guys,
I need a favor. Alison has a palate that is not as adventurous as some of you all. Any chance we can make a dish or two that has no heat? If not, I'll work something out.
Thanks for everything, we are looking forward to this.

Exactly JT...Alan didn't we drink another one of your neighbors nobody knows?? I think you started that conversation ;D
BT
Ron,
The huli pork is sweet , no hot at all.
Think traditional Hawaiian , pineapple ginger, soy etc.
If Mike makes serious Andouie that would be the only other spicy item.
I am making cuban longanisa which is sweet pineapple with just enough habanero to give it some heat but not take away the flavor of the sausage. Also some portuguese linguica as close to traditional as possible. It is spicy with a hint of heat . And some beef sticks to take fishing.
Mike

If that is raw then it is bait!
Ron
Ron
I've eaten Raw Crab & Raw Shrimp not too bad I have eaten worse.
Mike
Most shrimp and crab are precooked and frozen. If the shrimp were raw, the meat wouldn't be white.
I would be all over that Big T!
All you need to add is a Steak and more shrimp and crab. :P
the only thing missing from this party, besides me is Jacques Pepin!
