In the beginning man wrapped line on a stick, then man created fishing reels. Then somewhere along the line someone decided they wanted something different and along came aftermarket parts. Most custom builds still have many stock parts, along with the custom components.
Last month I stumbled onto 2 brand new red aluminum jigmaster 500 spools for $20 each. That started the "lets build a custom reel" rabbit hole. Just a couple more parts and I'll be there. It all started with that darned red spool !!
Ted,
You need to make red cross bars.
The Man
Orrr! That is going to be one sick build!
....and down the rabbit hole , we go !!! Gonna' be trick, though !!
Before taking deep swig from a bucket of "...Kool Aid...", decide if the trip is one you really want to take.
Just saw this,
I'll be looking forward to seeing this project take it's course Ted.
As you know, I got a wee Jigmaster frame and spool in the post recently.....
So another project beckons...
