Just read Alan Hawk`s review on the new Catalina. Wouldn`t it be great if they could get an anti reverse clutch that big in a conventional reel.
Yea, people that have no experience with a Saltiga/Catalina or a Stella just don't realize what degree of engineering is out there :).
To be fair, the conventional reels that use lesser AR bearings mostly have back up dogs too, so, at least they have that going for them :).
Even the old Catalina has a backup dog.
