Title: Bearing size for Shimano bearing
Post by: capteric on November 23, 2014, 07:59:09 PM
Does anyone know the size of part # rd13274 used in many shimano spinning reels?
The bearing or I should say what was left of the bearing was many small pieces. Not measurable.
The reel I'm working on is a stradic 5000fj and the bearing is the right side main gear.
I've used Boca Bearing many times but this time the cross ref is wrong.
Please help!

most all metric bearings are in whole millimeters.  even a kid's ruler will get you close enough.

When I said small pieces I meant small pieces. Outer race shattered inner race shattered. Boca Bearing's reference say 7x11x3mm.
I've that bearing in hand, wrong size. Thanks.

The 7x11x3 is for the right side of the reels main gear. The end that goes in first. 7x14x4 is the other main gear bearing. The pinion bearing is 7x14x5.

Thanks Handi2, that's what I have in hand for the right side plate bearing. The owner must have kept grinding away and made the gear wear down where the inner race seats, which I should have caught. The gear was still black and I just missed it. Much thanks!!
