Some shots of humpback whales that were feeding nearby when we were fishing recently. Lets watch ..

There was about 5-6 adult humpbacks and some calves feeding into the area where we were. Fishing was good butt i had to stop and grab my camera. It was worth it.

Its not that uncommon to view them up pretty close in the summer .

after feeding on the surface and spouting they generally dive down to get lower in the water to feed and dive with a tail in the air.

Awesome shots Gary. My beloved Humpies are way up your way now. Sometimes they scare me though, when I'm way out there. Can never tell when/where they're gonna surface relative to my position and bearing.

Start your motors and hope they make a deviation because of the disturbance and also you can quickly move when they are close and heading directly your way. That's what we do, don't argue or debate with them. ;D Last week we had plenty of them around here and a couple of small Orcha.

The photos are gorgeous so camera and photographer are healthy and well.
The fact that they are slow to load is not great but we can live with it.
Look at the last part of the links, those are your photo numbers. You will see no DSC_1002.JPG is mentioned four times above, so that is the same picture listed four times.
