Title: Curado 200e or 300e breakdown and cleaning?
Post by: fordexpoman on March 22, 2012, 04:58:04 AM
Can someone post a tutorial on how to breakdown and properly clean a Curado 200e7 or a Curado 300e? I want to do it the right way and I am unfamiliar of how exactly to do it and where to apply the appropriate amount of grease so I don't gunk up the reel.

Thanks

G'day,
Here's the Curado DHSV - it's nearly identical to the 200/300 series: http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=2529.0 (http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=2529.0)
Re: grease, all internal surfaces should have a light coat - enough to leave a finger print.
For the level-wind, use a light oil such as ReelX, CorrosionX, Inox etc.
Apply a bead around the main and pinion gears.
Let us know if you run into any difficulties.
Good luck, Justin

You Can also refer to the CITICA 200E tutourial.
Its Basically a Tune-down Curado 200e.
There is a bearing instead of a bushing for the curado under the drive shaft.

Replace the Drags with carbontex with a coat of cal's and your good (Sorry alan I beat you to it  ;D)
