Hi all my names Alexander and i hail from scotland.  I love all forms of sea fishing and own 5 Abu multipliers/baitcasters.  Going to take a wee look about now.  thanks for all your help

Welcome Alexander.  Where in Scotland are you from?  We went there for my honeymoon and went as far north as the Isle of Skye.  What a country.  Beautiful, lean air, and the kippers...  I wish I drank Scotch back then.

Hi im not exactly sure about zander as in the species of fish, im near certian there is in england.  will look into it for ya

I'm an east coast lad from Arbroath but I've been all over.  skye is a lovely place, did you goto Dunvegan castle?

might be an invasive species...don't quote me but I'm sure I read somewhere that there was in England.  I'm a sea fisher so my knowledge of freshwater is somewhat limited

Welcome from the West Coast of Canada ! I never met a fisherman from Scotland that I didn't like, mostly because they like the single malt like me. You will learn tons here.

Welcome, I'll be visiting Scotland this year.  Never been yet but looking forward to the trip and getting in some fishing.  I might have to ask you to help me out!

 Welcome to the forum. My first wife was from Scotland, her family roots were from Ayr but her father owned a hotel in St. Andrews. $$$. Been over at least a half dozen times but it has been awhile. Sure love some Arbroath Smokies! ;D

Hi wee man I am a bit farther south - Orsett, southern Engaland. Robertson clan in the lineage. Many happy holidays in the highlands, some of them sunny and dry ;D
Still not caught a Scottish  salmon - do they still exist ;)

Oh yes. They were on the breakfast menu at my Father in laws hotel. I either had black pudding or Smokies every morning as they aren't common food items in the States. I also like Finnan Haddie especially prepared in a bowl of Cullen skink on a cool night. I am sure that will get some folks googling. ;Db
