Title: Bent Spool Shaft on Penn 560L

I am working on a Penn 560 Liveliner and the stainless spool shaft is bent where the spool locating pin (39B) goes through it.
Has anyone else encountered this?

There is a lot of leverage at this point and the shaft is weakest here.
Do you think this might be a component failure due to too much pressure exerted by the drag?

I have cold straightened the shaft in a hydraulic press back to true.
Do you think the shaft is now weak in this spot and should be replaced or will it be OK?

Thanks,
Brett.

I would replace it. I don't believe the drag alone has caused the issue, how you work the rod  also has something to do with it.
