Title: CS 550 Right Side Plate Screw Size
Post by: josa1 on February 18, 2016, 06:41:24 PM
My first Pro Gear...

Received a Pro Gear CS550 in a sack.  Someone had started a rebuild but didn't finish.

Found the schematic and watched some of Alan's videos on servicing these reels.

Went through the parts available and think it's mostly there except the right side bearing, one right side plate screw and one inner screw.

Ordered the bearing and found that the inner screw was available.  But, could not match up the side plate screw with anything I had.  I have both SAE and Metric tap and die sets but couldn't get my thread gages to match up or the taps to thread smoothly into the reel frame.  I THINK that the threads are 40 per inch but the screw is smaller than a #4.

Does anyone know the size of these screws.
