Title: Question for Tony
Post by: Maxed Out on February 01, 2018, 10:41:01 PM
Hi Tony, I recently bought a 117L and worth every penny and then some. Date code sticker under box lid says 10/2016

My inquiry is concerning the logo on this reel was only used on the very earliest 9/0 senators. I personally love the retro logo. I also notice retro graphics on tail plate. Is this something new for Penn on the 117L ?? Do you have plans to continue using the retro logo and tail plate graphics, or putting it on any other senators ?? If so I'm a buyer !!

 Thanks, Ted

Ted,

When we brought back the 117L a few years ago we were able to continue to re-use the same molds and fixtures which is why the side plate design remained the same as the older models.  No plans on changing any other designs.
