Don't have a lot of saltwater experience mainly fish in NE Oklahoma.
I fish for big blue cats ,flatheads ,gator gar and will occasionally snag a nice paddlefish.

My love is saltwater fishing but fishing is fishing and as long as the fish bends my rod I'm happy, 6" kokanee to cow YFT.

I don't catch a lot of carp but we have buffalo here...
You have to make your own grass flies with 16/0 to 20/0 hooks
then find a herd of buffaloes out on the prairie
Then be sure to stay down wind,cast where they are feeding
Set the hook hard!

The 20/0 Mustad is my hook of choice Red. Never tried to catch Buffalo with it. :P
