Title: Model 109 breakdown

This is a very narrow conventional reel.  Its spool is 1.5" wide X 3" tall with a 1" arbor.  It's a multi-function reel with free spool and selective anti-reverse.   Not very fast at 2.5:1. or thereabouts.   The A/R switch is pretty slick and tricky to install.  It can launch when disassembling the reel and cause you to flinch and lose the A/R spring assembly as well.  Keep that in mind.

Not much in the way of drags which was a disappointment.  It's very similar inside to the 110, 210 models.

This example doesn't show much wear but does show cosmetic issues from neglect and abuse.  I don't see these real often.  Definitely a unique-looking reel.  My guess is they are wire line trolling reels but I'm not seeing enough guts or capacity in this model.  It cleaned up pretty good and remains a project waiting for better parts,

As you can see, the judges were not impressed.
