Title: Action for Yoyo iron?
Post by: jlezama on January 15, 2020, 10:30:57 PM
Hey Guys
I am looking for to pair my torsa 16N with a rod for yoyo iron (west coast style). My question is what kind of action are do you look for?Fast? Medium or ultra? I am looking for a 40-50# setup. Are there any particular models and brands you could recommend?
Thanks
Juan

Action isn't that critical.  Point the rod at the jig and crank fast.  When the jig stops lift rod and fight fish.  It's up to you as to what action you like.  I like a fast rod of 6 1/2-8' long like a Seeker 6465h, g6470H, UC Tilefish, Phenix phd760xh, etc.  A 16n will be light on the line capacity!
