That is true, but I want to check if I can beat that price.
Thank you again Alan.
voted silver, but black fits almost every application.
Thanks Alan.
I like silver
Marc..
I would like to suggest an anodizing grade: Type III
More specifically : MIL-A-8625, Type III - 2.0 mils.
This means it will have to be grey- black ( type III cannot be dyed bright colors). As a side note, the more colorful and shiny the finish is, the less protection is usually provided.
Type III is significantly more scratch and corrosion resistant. Which is important if the customer does not frequently strip off the line and rinse the spool. At any rate, if you go with a colored spool, it would be worthwhile to see how thick an anodized layer you can get.
The older penn aluminum spools have a finish that looks like type III. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a thick layer. Does seem to be tougher than the shiny black spools they ship now.

Alan, please put me down for (2)501. & (1)506... whatever color you decide... Thanks

And Tiburon "are no longer able to process orders from outside the USA"
Did this ever get up and running?

I will check with my resourcer. It is on our to do list.
Very interested in this one as well. I also like jurelometer's suggestion in the Type 3 anodising. The grey/black colour makes no difference to me.
If these run will they be lighter than the Tiburon spools?

I will have to check when I get a sample made from my resource.
Here is the drawing, and a sample will be made for testing the fitting.
I just got few samples of this JigMaster 501 aluminum spool.
Here are few pictures.
All measurements are good. It is going to be in mass production within next 2 weeks.
It will be $49.99 + shipping cost.
Just got a beautiful 1/0 in the mail today, I would like one when they're available. Thanks Sheridan
Looks good Alan, are there any plans for other colors in the future?

Ted, that cobalt blue looks very nice with silver, I wasn't sure, now I'm glad I got one coming as well.
Can't wait to see how that orange will look with the black as well.
Nice reels.
Ted's straight up messing with me because he knows I can't build out until Christmas...wife's orders. For the love of God, stop it man!!!! :)
My kits received, Alan C 501 and Randy P Newell 99 spools enroute...
Thanks, all. I told my fishing partner this morning I am parking the Internationals. Off the shelf suits just won't do anymore.

Teriffic combo, Sal --
Assuming all SS guts and a 5 stack?
Best,
Fred
Yes Fred, well actually these are the JM500-X gear set. These only take 3 washers, but give the same results as the gdears with the 5 stack.
Thanks Fred!
Sal
Sal that is a beautiful combo of colors. ;D
You gonna share your private stash of blue knobs with the "Ohana" :D :D ?? How can anyone top that build :o :o?? ...or even match it :( :( :( :(?? No surprise the best builds happen in Havertown. Proof is in the puddin' on every build. 8)
Thanks guys!
Ted, nothing gets by you :)
Something about that Silver and Blue.
Great work Sal and Ted. ;)

You know John, besides beauty these parts are perfect. Not easy getting custom parts from different places and have them work flawlessly.
Testing the plates with the new spool I get over 90 minutes of freespool,( plates and spool only ). These parts are playing nicely together.

Ha, funny, I figured orange was the least popular color since that was the only color left. I got one of the last ones I guess. But I really like it!
