Title: Shimano MLZ 10
Post by: JasonGotaProblem on November 29, 2022, 02:39:20 AM
Per discussion on a different thread I'm posting pics from inside my recently acquired MLZ 10.

The internals are impressive; the drag setup, less so.

I can punch a Carbontex washer if needed.

Very nice.
It looks solid and brand new.
What species are you targeting?

Probably gonna string it up with 8# braid and use it to target bass. But I may occasionally throw a shrimp on and see if I can't bring a knife to a gunfight from time to time. Seems solid enough.

I'm thinking it would be fun to fight some speckled trout in the 15"- 18" range.

There is a nice blog on the FishingTalks website about the MLZ and MLX reels.  They don't make them like this anymore.
