I can't take credit for this, but it was caught in a private pond some 45 minutes south of here toward Chattanooga. 5 lb 4 oz. Caught on one of my favorite baits, Kalin's John Deere grub. Highly unusual because crappie don't normally grow very large in ponds in this area, leastways in small ponds less than 40 acres.
