Keta,
Got your ss keta kranks.....they are beautiful!!! Alan asked me which size hole for the handle is? 3/16" or 5/16"? This will help myself and Alan figure out which handles I need.
Mahalos...
Dave
Dave,
I think Alan is asking if you want a counterbored spindle or not. What handle arms did you get?
I only used the counterbored spindle handle, but I only have arms for the larger senators. 6/0 and up.

The 112H/500 handle arm should have the 3/16" hole, the 113H could be either one. if it's obviously larger it's 5/16", if not it's 3/16".
I had planned on making the holes from 113H up 5/16" but there seems to be a lot of handles that use the smaller hole so from now on
I will make them all 3/16" and drill them out as needed. I'm trying to use the 5/16" in all of my reels but as of now I have a mixed batch, with the small ones on my Surfmaster 100 and Senator 112H reels.
Lee, wondering if you have the 114H with 3/16" on its way to me with all those other goodies ;) ;D I hoping the mail person is going to bring me an early Christmas present ;D

I cut 4 of them on Tuesday but the holes for the gearsleve were cut unacceptably oversize, something I found after drilling, taping and cleaning the arms.
Thanks lee.
Lee, Please put up photos of your Kranks for all to see and drool over and purchase.
Yeah, photos so I can place an order 112h 113h 114h ;)
Thanks
Dom
This was my last order from Lee. 114H on right, 10/0 and up on the left. These are drilled out perfectly for Alan's Handles with the counterbored spindle.

Alright, Lee, that does it. I need a 10/0 arm. How much, including shipping, and I'll get a check off to you in the mail.
Thanks,
George

Let me get them cut first, I had some problems with the last batch of 114H handle arms.
Very nice looking, Shark Hunter. The handle arm in the middle of your photo seems to have a larger end (where the grip attaches) than any of the rest. Can you share why?? Oh wait, I didn't notice the first time I looked, but the gear sleeve holes are farther apart also..
I was wondering if someone was going to notice that. ;D
That is one from Lee's first run. The handle hole is slightly oversized.
Keta, I really like what you are doing. I'll have to get my request in after New Year. Merry Christmas to all.
I know you guys have heard me rave about the Mothers mag wheel polish in my posts. This took less than 5 minutes with a Dremel polishing wheel.

It doesn't take all the deep scratches out, but it does shine it right up!

Better than regular buffing compound or anything else I've tried.

Keta,
PM sent..
Polishing my kranks is a PIA (as well as removing patches of my fingers with the belt sander) but they do look nice. In my mind a handle arm is only a tool handle and I can't see charging more that $18.00 for the polished ones but they are taking me 45 minutes to an hour to polish. I will not raze my price but I would rather provide mat finished ones for $15.00 when possible.
Matte finish is fine with me. I feel guilty enough as it is. You are the Man Lee! ;D
Keta,
I really like the design. I would like to have 4 cranks for penn 113h. I am going to install 2 on tanks and I am thinking about building 2 more tanks so if u have some stainless steel dogs I need 4.
Respectfully,
Troy
Lee,
Your efforts and integerity are trully appreciated by me. Dont forget the saying: If you build/make it they will come!!!
Leo
;D, I tried that line with the ss sleeves for the bigger senators. I know this will be an expensive Venture for the Boss, but they Will Come! ;)
Hey Lee,
Saw in another thread regarding you making a counter balanced handle that you tried a laser cutter, but it was not strong enough.
I was interested in seeing if you would brand the kranks in the future, maybe with a double-K or spelled out, with a laser process? I would be a fan of some arms that had a manufacturer's logo or symbol...Maybe allow members to submit ideas and designs, if you did not have one yourself?
Asking too much? Maybe; I plan on purchasing a couple either way, but would be cool if we can show off our upgrades.
I've brought this up before, Sunday. I keep thinking of taggers letters. like Grafitti. Keta Kranks!
Something like this.

Thanks Lee!
I just received my order of Keta Kranks - (2X) 114H & (2X) 113H. They look MAVELOUS!!!

I like the looks of that 113. I mainly have the bigger ones.
Great work Lee.
Can't wait to get mine... They look sweet!
Thanks for bringing these to the table.
Dom
These are some really nice arms Lee. Thanks for making them!
Bob
Whoa, those are SHARP Lee... Can't wait to see them for real... couple more weeks :D
I really like how subtle the cutout is on the 113's.. nice work man
Daron, if I ever need a logo done...I'm calling you :D that's catchy.. nice one
Awesome upgrade,nice work.
I was buffing one of Lee's handle and it slipped causing some gouges, so I decided to go another route.
It really sparkles now ;D, I really like the look

Sorry Leo, I didn't see your previous question.
These are what I use:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130885906276?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Use one of the bit that works best for you.
This is all done by hand using a dremel, don't worry, those will not cut you.
You'll need to move the dremel back and forth using the same pressure and moving in the same direction.
About that set of bits, I've been using them for over two years and still going strong, best money I ever spent.
Thanx Sal>
Sal, tell Leo the truth... you chew on it, as if it were an ear of corn ;D
Looks sweet!
I'm getting the gear ready for the season, and can't wait to get my 113h handles from Lee.
I think I'll keep 'em just how Lee sends 'em cause he puts in his blood and sweat on the polishing (...and I'd probably screw them up ;)
Not only do we come out with aftermarket parts, but now we dress them up... we're sick!
Keep it up crew,
Nice job, Sal
Dom
I have a bunch of parts that need to be cut but the cutter hasn't got to them for several weeks.

Hi Sal,
i take it you had good luck with that ebay seller? If you're satisfied with that set, then I'll order one too. (after I check HomeDepot)
Looks like it should cover about all the bases for a reel customizer eh?
I broke the good burr I had and I somehow lost my spare ??? ... i guess I'm more Fijian than i thought ;D
double dogging my 9/0 will have to wait a little longer.
Nice job, maybe one day I will try that.going to eBay now. Thank you Sal.
Any of these available for a 115L?
Lee,
You have a PM.
I know Lee is a Busy Man, But I finally had the pleasure of putting one of his Kranks to the test reeling in a Descent sized Bull Shark. With Alan's 5/0 Kokelar Handle, I'll tell you, It felt Magnificent!
If you look Close in the Grass behind me, there is a Heron that thinks I'm reeling him in something to eat. :D

No but it was still fun. I think the air bag slamming it into my window is what did it.
Say What? :o
I was involved in a 60mph multi car collision on I5 in LA. The insurance company totaled my truck but I was able to drive it to SD and then home. The winch saved my radiator.
thats not what a winch is for
glad it worked out though

Lee, Around 1980, I was younger and dumber. I had a job at a plywood mill working 16 hour days with one weekend a month off, I broke the same bone on my right hand, I thought it was just dislocated. I pulled it out. It had immediately swollen to twice the size. I bulled through it. around two weeks later I went to see a doctor. He took an xray and said it was broken. It already had started to grow together but out of place. He tried to re break it with a rubber maul on a stainless steel table. The swelling had started to go out of it some before I went to him. He said he couldn't re break it. There was no clawing and to live with it. I left with a re swollen hand. Today it is fine but my knuckle is set back a little from where it should be and there is a small knot on the back of my hand.
I hope your hand gets better, you are much smarter than I am. Bob

Hope your feeling better and the hand is healing fast.
