Does anyone know if this can be replaced with a part that is currently available?  chrome is cracked/flaked and I'd like to use the reel again!

Also - my 6500B's drag clicker has stopped working. Seems like it runs off the washer/cogs on the main shaft - but the washer/cogs (excuse my lack of technical terms) spins around the shaft.  Perhaps a little tac of aluminum weld (or would that rust)?

Welding would be an absolute last resort. There's a strong chance the clicker is a roughly standard size/shape and can be pulled from a donor reel. Especially on an older shimano like that. I've put penn drag clickers in daiwa reels. Im sure this is similar. Got a pic of the clicker?

here are your schematics for part names & #'s:

solid SIC roller from Baitrunner 6500PLUS (BR-0456???)
is probably most likely / best alternate/UPGRADE...  but, even more unobtanium
biggest, oldest JDM Biomaster probably used same roller

BR-0191 for older Baitrunner 650, may be same part
as your original RD-0727...  and, part naming system was all that changed
DEFINITELY double-check this AND ALL PART NUMBERS!!!

Sometimes you can put a thin brass or aluminum (beer can) shim under it and press it back in place.

The drag clicker is low stress so you might get away with JB Weld or similar metalized epoxy. Some key points are: clean it well with solvent. Go sparingly with the epoxy and apply it on the bottom side of the click-gear (just make certain it doesn't interfere with the pinion and pinion nut when the spool retracts into the rotor. You will have better access if you remove your main-shaft but since this is a bait-runner it may be a little complex. Just be careful and you can do this without disassembly.

I bet there's another more common shimano reel that uses the exact same bail assembly, and can be taken. Just a thought.

More aggressively, I once took the bail from a broken foot penn 430SSg drilled out the mounting hole on the non-roller side, and attached it to a 4500SS that had a busted roller. Now it has a ball bearing line roller. Wasn't super easy but it worked.
