Title: Books and Web sites

Books

My grandson (14) has been fishing for several years and wants to start doing some more ocean salt water fishing, plus some possible casting from shore/pier. He lives in Lafayette and can get to most places within an hour. Or if longer he can make a day of it (his dad is retired).

Is there any book or web sites he might enjoy for the Northern California region?

I'm also thinking about a Xmas rod and reel setup if you have any suggestions. (He has a bunch of freshwater light weight stuff (4-8) lb test spinning outfits. My gear is  a bit heavy for ono, ahi, etc here in Hawaii.

Aloha

Dan

4-8lb I'll cover about everything on land.  Maybe he's ready for a salmon rig?

Aloha Dan.

Try these books.

One reel and 2 rods. Spinning reel loaded with 6-8# mono and a 6' and 9-10' rod.  6' for trout or bass. 9-10' for surf perch.
Aloha,
Bryan
