why do u want to dismantle the magnetic side plate?
haha just curious!

on all my BC reels i just leave em alone... really not much u can do.

the magnetic rings are made of neodymium and they scratch really easily. once scratched they corrode even faster. if that happens they'l lose their magnetism.

if u wanna access the bearing fair enuff. just remove the C clip carefully. it does tend to fly off lolol. dont let it happen by placing your finger over it.

do note that under the bearing there are 2 more washers. dont lose them too.

the reason i'm doing this is bcoz each time when i try to turn the magnetic brake .... it creates an awful sound like "ggrraarr" and that's irritating ......
already sent to service centre to fix it but i dare not open it myself ..... anyway thanks for advise.
