Title: Sealine 30 conversion to 20?
Post by: ryangab on April 01, 2014, 06:26:39 AM
I have a sealine 30SHA and 30SLH that I feel are too wide for my applications. I would like to convert one to a sealine 20 size by swapping the frame and spool. Is it possible?

Yes it is possible. I think this topic was discussed on bloody decks about 6 months ago in the fishing reel forum area.

I converted a Sealine x-30shv into the narrower 20 width last year. It's very similar to an SHA. In fact, lots of the parts are interchangeable between SHA and SHV. I bought a new spool from Daiwa and an aftermarket frame. The rest is no different than doing a rebuild to freshen up your existing reel. I've never had an SLH, so I can't comment on that.
