Ladies and Gentleman,
This is a photo contest of you and your pet.
It doesn't matter if you have a Lizard or a Pot Bellied Pig.
The only rules are your Pet has to be living and a Photo of you with the pet have to be submitted.
The prize will be a Vintage Penn reel of your choosing from my Arsenal.
This will comprise of a spinner or a Conventional.
420 or 430ss. Vintage Beachmaster, Long Beach, Squidder, Surfmaster or any other Vintage reel that I have within reason.
Please post your entries as numbers as they progress.
The winner will be determined by a random drawing just as the first.
The deadline will be April 30th for your submissions.
If there are few, this will be extended.
It was so much fun last time. I want to continue this.
Let the game begin!
Great idea for a contest! Would be fun even without a prize.
Here is Saint and my photo entry. He's a 3/4 mini poodle and 1/4 Shitzu (Shittypoo for short). This photo was taken at the shelter on the day we rescued him nine years ago.
Second photo is a cleaned up Saint after he settled in our home and had a hair cut.
If I read the rules correctly, this is Entry #1
Good times!!! #2

Blaze the half corgi half short legged jack Russel terror! Turns 17 this year. He used to come to work with me everyday. Now he enjoys sleeping until noon and eating dehydrated liver snacks. He has seen it all this one! #3
Fannie is a new family member. We are in love with her. Joe&Ruth

Thanks for sharing your wealth with your friends, and as a cat feeder, here is one of the neighbors, butt we. Have a couple as well. This cat 🐈 is hard to photograph as shyness fuels survival I guess.#5
Very cute! Cats are aloof and very independent.
Joe
Gary is No. 5
so Im No 6, my furry Chihuahua and Tae, the cat that likes to help me building rods, well, at least he likes to sleep in my wooden wrapper

Gangster Peppie
#9 to the gangsta ;)
Come on ladies and gents.
Show us your Pets.
Pigs, Squirell's, Oxen, Elephants.
Show us if you want to win. ;)
Alex: you should bring your Chihuahua up here and see how it likes the cold. The only pooch we have left is a Chorkie so she is half Chihuahua, so maybe they are related. Great little dog, lots of personality and little barking but she can take up a large part of a king size bed ................... go figure !! She also seems to think that she should chase any bear that comes through the yard; I don't think she knows how big/ small she is!!
Cheers:
Todd

I am posting the same photo of Miss Squirrel as I did 5 years ago.
She is a Guinea Pig of 10 plus years and I don't want to stress her for a photo shoot.
Alan's first Pet Contest had 41 entries. If I don't get at least half that, It is going to be a wash.
Lots of newer members have been contributing, but no Veterans.
Get on the stick!
I'm staring you down. >:(

This is my 3-legged cat, AKA Hop along Catsidy.....
She likes to "share" Dexter's food! Sometimes she even leaves some for her. Both of em LOVE fresh fish...

Here's max!
Bigger photos
I think it was too many at one time. I'll try again... :-\

.
It was cage cleaning and here is the one and only Miss Squirrel.
10 plus year old Guinea Pig!
She Rocks!
This pic isn't contest worthy because getting myself in the pic ain't gonna happen, cause my kids are just as camera shy as Miss Squirrel.
My newest kids are brother/sister yorky-poo. They are about 18 months old and love to play a lot. Jack is 12# and his butterscotch blonde sister Gigi is 8#
You are entry #15 Ted.
There is no more apropriate name for that dog than Gigi!
Ron Jones
mixed shih tzu Tucker!
#16
Couldn't resist putting up a photo of my pet, unfortunately, photographing a Black dog, results in photo's that don't often come out clear.
And like Ted, mine won't qualify as I'm not in it.
This is one of the best Lab's I've ever owned and had the privilege of sharing my life with, A dog that often gets taken to my wife's work to spend
the day with disabled adults, both with physical and mental disabilities, then on the other days, sits in my passenger seat of my trade vehicle keeping
me company during my working day. She chooses her days now, if it a wet and windy winters day, she stays tucked up in her bed on the back verandah, but if the day is fine and her old stiff body feels youngish when she wakes up, she's in my ute quicker than I can think straight of a morning.
This is probably one of the clearest decent photo's I have of her, These are my two passions, a 74 triumph Bonneville and of course "sabbath" my mate !
For some unknown reason, when she is at the factory, she guards that old Brit bike like no tomorrow, Why, well it took me a while to figure out, the bike is that loud when started, she hates it with a passion, even if I go near it myself I get a muffled growling, yet alone an innocent visitor !!!!
Animals are great levelers, they judge you not at the end of the day after one of those real shite days, there always there with unconditional love, I think anyone that has the misfortune of not having an animal in there life, is missing out........
Thanks for letting me post this...... Col.

Thanks, 🎃 pumpkin, We and my sister love ❤️ you. Just saying.
here is one more. Had to weigh the mighty pup for some meds; fish scale and a grocery bag will do. take one non thrilled pup, put in bag, and weigh with a fish scale, 7 lbs of annoyed dog.
Cheers:
Todd
Thanks Todd.
She looks like she is not liking that one bit.
Miss Squirrel enjoying the April Grass.
This little animal amazes me.
She is against the laws of a normal Guinea Pig life span.
Like the mouse from the Green Mile.
She Lives On!

Ladies and Gentleman,
I apologize, but my annual trip to Florida has snuck up on me.
I am leaving tonight for two weeks..
The drawing and winner will be determined when I return.
My life is Hectic at the present time, but I always make good on my promises.
Some Serious R&R and fishing is in store for me.
I tried to take some more pics of Miss Squirrel and tiger in between mowing this week.
They both will be going with us on this trip.

Good luck buddy!...have a good time.
Sal
Have a great trip and safe travels, Hope you get the big unit you're looking for.
Awesome man! Looking forward to your report!
This is not really a photo submission, it's more of an update on the winner of the 1st photo contest. Our dog Trudy is very sick, something is destroying her red blood cells. After spending several thousand on her over the past month, the vet has admitted defeat. So Anne and I are in doggie hospice mode for the next few days. She's only 11 1/2. In my 70 years I've had maybe 7-8 really significant dogs. She ranks right up there with the best of them. The squirrels in doggie heaven better get prepared.
Mike Pate
So sorry to hear that Mike, I know how tough that is!!! I was so wanting to submit pics to this awesome idea of a post, but unfortunately we had to put our(my girls) little Lasso mix down recently.....did I mention I hate CANCER..... she was the only dog my girls (15/12 y/o,s) had known... very 😢
I wish you the best my friend...these can be difficult times. Sorry to hear this!
Brett
Sorry Wally and Brett,
Pets are hard to lose. My deepest Sympathy,
Daron
Hi Mike,
I'll tell you what, Trudy looks like one good looking dog Mike, reminds me a a dog I had in my youth.
I hope that she will be comfortable in her days remaining, which I am sure you are now taking care of.
Was the hardest times of my own dog ownership, knowing there was nothing I could do to change the course of nature, and an important part of our live's and family was nearing the end.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Brett, My Labrador's 17 1/2 yo foxy playmate had to be put down last year, I empathise with your recent loss...
Regards
Col
