Finally had success at a better plating shop and got some parts back. I'm just starting to fiddle with these, so I'll add more as I go. 5 colors may take a while ;D ;D
First off none of this would be possible without Alan Tani and the Ohana and all the great custom components made by some very talented people. I am not one of them. My parts are figments of my imagination, and brought to life by a local "one man shop" machinist trying to scratch out a living. His talent goes beyond my relm of thinking, but somehow he puts my thought into real parts. I'm still pinching myself.
P.S. sorry no AT wrench in the picture, I gifted it to Chris, my machinist
Now off to dungeon I go to build me some frankenreels.
Here is a narrow cortez 4/0 to start the mayhem.
The new lever goes ok on Accurate Jiggys also
Dr. Doubt the plater did exceptional.
Your dreams are reel!
Beautiful, Ted! Keep 'em coming.
Sid
;D looking forward to more my friend, flippin sweet.
CLASSIC! AAA+!
Those are beautiful reels!!
My eyes...My eyes...Such bling. ::) :o Dominick
That blue 4/0 is spectacular Ted!
narrow black Cortez 4/0. Mike will like this one. He got me hooked on all black. its like stealth mode :D :D
I love the look of the rings inside. Just like a Newell kit.
Very well done indeed.
Ron
The blue reel is easy on the eyes...almost too pretty to fish. The black reel looks sinister...reminds me of Darth Vader.
........one more narrow Cortez 4/0
Very Nice Ted.
they are all beauties
are the cross bars to high?
1/2 or 3/4 spool of line,is it going to touch?
my eyes are not the best
cheers maxed out ;)
Wallace, they're tilted at an angle. Those are at the same hight as stock.
All look amazing Ted, you did good with your idea.
Sal
Ted, really nice stuff. The shift arms are awesome! They're all great but the blue is a real knockout! But then again should we expect any less from you!
Please keep that constructive mind going and also tell your machinist Chris, first rate work!
.................Lou
Ted...you da man! 8)
Thank you all for the kind words.
Back at it again today. ....Stay tuned, I have just begun to have fun with mix and match ;D ;D
Very nicely done. I likey
TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 110 languages.
We have our own TED Talks going on here --
You just keep getting better and more clever, Ted...
Thanks for doing these, and showing us.
Best Always,
Fred
Fred, you made me spew coffee ;D ;D upon reading your observations. I have many miles to go to even come close to the level of nirvana that you and others here have attained. I'm just proud to be a tiny part of the Ohana.
One more narrow cortez 4/0....more to come
I'm squinting with only one eye open and it is still burning...Love the color combo's! That Blue is the bomb! Not to take anything away from any of the other reels you posted. They are all beautiful!
Good work!
Andy
Andy, I'm just getting warmed up.... :D :D
....Same reel with standard width bars and stock 113 seat. This kit belongs to Broadway, but I couldn't resist the photo op. ;) ;)
Love it.
Thise parts look great. Anodizing appears flawless.
I love the new shift lever arm style.
Did you ever figure out the clearance issue on the aftermarket SS bent handle arms?
Looks like the color match is perfect too Ted!
............Lou
Color match is close enough for me Lou. The plater I found this time is much more professional. They even delivered to my door from 215 miles away. How's that for service with a smile :D
John, the next batch will be 1/8" lower profile, keeping same design. Those will be ready by end of January
hi maxed out
im sure there are a lot of tanites that

Hi Wallace, the narrow kit includes clamp/hardware, bars, seat/tongue, and one narrow width stainless post. (Matching lever is extra)
The narrow kit is $110 my cost, and that is what I'll sell them to the Ohana for, +$7 shipping. Shift levers are $18 each and that includes nylon washer and O-rings(2)
-Ted
The standard kit will include a set of bars and matching clamp and also matching shift lever. These kits will be $72 each + shipping
All my parts are USA made and scrutinized with the highest quality control....ME !!
For standard width kits a stock penn 113 seat is required. The clamp will use same hardware as a stock black graphite 113 clamp.
Here's another standard width, built as a wire line reel. Good thing Broadway lives so far away, or I'd have to get a guard dog. ;D
The new shift lever will fit any reel that has the jigmaster/113 eccentric and has a #66 penn lever.
Here is a pro gear 541 with the new lever, and an accurate jigmaster sporting the new lever in black. :o
You have been busy building some awesome reels Ted.
I really like all you do here. And the color match is very good!
The shifters look good too.
Are there plenty of parts to go around?

Anthony, yes I do, but everything is very limited amounts. I don't want to get carried away and end up in the doghouse and flat broke, so everything is small batches and first come first served. I have about 15 narrow kits available and a few sets of standard width bars with clamp. For those that are patiently waiting for their orders, Tuesday I'll be shipping them out.
Here is narrow red kit on new style cortez 4/0 plates.
-Ted
My family tree ;D ;D
8) :o 8) ;D
Nice family.
Here you'll see the new shift lever in action on several Accurates and a couple Cortez Jiggys.
the spacer bars were originally designed with accurate in mind as well as Cortez and others.
here is narrow kit on accurate 4/0
.....and another full accurate 113hn with the new narrow kit
SOWEET!!!!
...... and a stock 113H with the standard width bars and red anniversary spool. These bars are destined for Havertown, where they belong ;D ;D
Somebody is gonna like that reel!
......standard width in black stealth mode ;)

Nice touch Ted ;D
I thought I might have remembered some post where you said a set of these has got your name written all over it.
Sal is going to like those.
Ted,
Thanks for the "sneak peek", lol. I can't wait to use the green for starboard side trolling rods and the red for port side rods. If anyone screws it up now they walk the plank!
I absolutely love the look of your builds and think you knocked it outta the park with these kits. They look like they're on steroids with that eccentric lever.
Can't wait for the day a monster bass jumps on and make them sing... That is if Lou saved some bass for the rest of us in the Northeast. ;)
Thanks for doing this Ted,
Dom

Wow, oh wow, oh wowwy lol!
Just does not cease to amaze me, some of the creations, I find in this awesome place!
I think it's about time, I start selling off some reels I'm not using lol!
That deep blue color, is truly something else!!!
It really is just gorgeous!
