Title: washer size for Daiwa x40sha
Post by: Doug on October 13, 2014, 06:27:49 PM
Hi Dawn Can you tell me what washer # the Daiwa X40sha uses? The reason I ask is I only need 2 and not the 6 in the kit. Thanks Doug

If this is the right kit I get 8.6mm ID x 35mm OD x .65mm thick.

I am not sure what I need is a replacement for the Teflon washers for 2 430ss reels and I think these are really close  Doug

I think I have that reel laying around. I'll check and see.

The Daiwa drag washer is too large on the OD. Scott's Bait and Tackle should have them. Part 56-440. If they are out I have 2 of them.

If you wanted to make your own they are 9mm x 31mm x 1mm thick. The stock HT-100 has ears.

The X40SHA and Saltist are not the same.

X40SHA is #54.  33.8mm x 9.5.  It's 1mm thick.

The X20SHA is #48.  31 x 8.9 x 1.  Maybe that would work.

Sometime ago I replaced the washers on a x40sha  with a kit from Dawn and saved the old felt ones They are almost a perfect fit in the 430ss and 714z I just didn't need 6 if I got another kit  Doug

Handi2 Thanks for looking and your offer the 56-440 might work I tried  a few but  they are little small maybe the 4300ss is not the same as the older 430ss but I am sure the x40sha is a better fit   Doug

Hi
I just went and looked at the washers.  The X40SHA is exactly the same as the Penn SS430, just thicker.

Handi2 I think you might be looking at the SS440.
