before the season ends on October 31, 2016? I had a great time on the Argo fishing for salmon but I was not happy with the boat's speed. I can do any day from 10/1 to 10/20. The Connie T uses downriggers. I did not like dropping a one pound lead ball in the water either. When I had my boat I used downriggers and in my opinion it is the only way to go. Full price for the day is $600.00 for a charter with max of 4 fisher persons. Dominick
I'm in. If we get 2 more we can pick a date. Where does he launch out of?
steve
Dom,
Is he running out of Santa Cruz?
Jonathan
Without a doubt I am good on the 3rd.
Other dates I will have to finagle😎
I'm a definite maybe ;D Need to know the date & possibly a ride with Jonathan? I have no A/C >:(
BT

Does your car have windows? Dominick
BT
Your car has 4-40 AC. Just open 4 windows @ 40 MPH & you have AC
Mike

Works for me Dominick... thanks!
It's Thursday 9/29 @ 11:35 a.m. I have a call and an email out and have had no response. We'll see. Dominick
send him a text at 510-552-2250.
Okay guys. Captain Kahn got back to me. He is available. His text message said: "I am available but the weather might not let us out. Can I check the 3 days forecast and get back to you on Saturday afternoon." Now this is okay with me. Is everyone good with waiting to confirm on Saturday? That will be me, Big Tim, Jonathon and Steve. Please respond in a reply. Dominick
I'm good with the arrangement. Thanks Dominick.
I'm OK, just need JT
Tim
Good we'll wait for Jonathan to respond. I checked the long range forecast and it looks good wind and wave conditions but a chance of showers. dominick
Sticksinthespokes!
Should we delay a day or three?
I am lucky enough to have some flexibility at work , and I can fish when it's rough.
Still prefer smooth sailing....
The forecast has changed every day since the forecast started calling for a storm.
That combined with the off shore data tells me we might have a short period swell on Mon/Tues.
Which is just horrible for trolling North .
What say ye?
Best,
JT
As usual I didn't answer the question......
Apologies Senor Dom.
I will go whenever, so short notice is OK with me
As before,
Jonathan

I have time to delay. How about everyone else. weigh in. Dominick
I'm good either way Dom. If you want to wait for a better weather window an I can make it I'm in.
Tim
How about Tues. or Wed. if Monday looks sloppy? Dominick
I don't think you will find a better captain to fish with.

I fished with him. Quiet fish killer. He's one of those guys that is experienced, keeps up to date, and will put you on them if they are to be found. Super nice guy to boot.
Oh, and I misspelled his name all the time too. It's Khanh. :D
Is gear provided? I don't think I have any Salmon trolling gear.
Tim
Guys I just stopped for fuel on my way down from Shaver and my Cummins is puking oil out the rear main seal.
Headed for Browns Diesel to see how quick they can repair it.
I'll keep you updated....
Best,
JT
I just heard from Capt. Khanh. He said that Tuesday is the better weather day. Whose's in? Khanh's website says he has all the equipment needed and it is maintained by Alan Tani. I'd rather Tuesday because I don't do well in sloppy conditions. Steve I'm sorry if you can't make it. So far it looks like Tim, Jon and me. Anyone else? Dominick
If Jonathan is in, I'm in as we will ride together. Let's see about his truck.

The Cummins Silver Bullitt should be up by Tues pm so I am good for later in the week.

Makes fishing seem cheap :' :D

BT
I told Capt. Khanh to cancel next week and give me availability for the week of the 10th. I can make any day. What say youse guys. Dominick
i can go any day but Friday ,
I would have to check with Miss Mari on a Friday trip.
I can do any day next week. Actually, I was planning to go out Thursday the 13th on the Outer Limits out of Sausalito. It is a fast and stable catamaran. I will cancel that trip to go with you guys and Cpt. Khahn.
I should be good to go next week.
BT
Weather wise next week is out. Capt. Khanh is available 10/11/ to 10/14. If I can get 3 of you to commit I will book it and send in a deposit. Again weather permitting. I looked up the weather and it looks like it will be okay weatherwise. Dominick

Thanks for doing this. Steve
Okay Steve. Tim and Jon please weigh in. Dominick
Dominick can you find out where we depart from?
Big Tim is in
As per Senor Dom , 12th it is.
Just spoke with a friend who lives on the Sac ,
His 12 yo son boated a 12 lb king this morning. And lost a fish over 40😮

The word from Capt. Khanh is either HMB or Berkeley Marina. It depends on where the fish are. He'll let us know as soon as he figures it out. I hope HMB because of the auto break-ins at the Berkeley Marina. I have a new GMC and I would hate to see it damaged. I'm psyched. Dominick
It is now set that the Connie T will launch from Half Moon Bay. I expect that the time to meet Capt. Khanh is at or around 6:00 am. I will know more later. Low tide at HMB is 1:56 am. High Tide is 8:39 am. I don't know how far we expect to travel and start fishing but it looks like we will fish the incoming tide and slack tide. Now I need to know when Steve, Tim and Jon will be arriving at my house on Tuesday for a sleep over. Don't forget your favorite stuffed animal and the PJs with the little bunnies. ::) I have one camp cot, one couch and one bed. You guys need to choose. If you all come early enough dinner and drinks are here. Dominick
