Title: Alutecnos 50W 2S Reels
Post by: handi2 on May 17, 2018, 09:51:07 PM
I have 3 of these in the shop for service. They are a few years old. Has anyone serviced these reels before?

If you have you know what a pain they are. I have 2 finished and one to go. It took me 3 hours on the first one and about the same on the second one. That's all I did today. Everything that could be corroded in was. Just taking the handle of was a chore.

Ill take pictures on the last one.

Here are a few pictures as I was taking it apart.

I start by taking the left side off first and remove the spool. The way this reel is built it's easier this way.

There are 2 small 1.5mm hex screws under the handle to remove the shift mechanism and it's housing.

Now to the handle, it's cover, and drop the gears out. It has a massive one way clutch bearing with a needle roller bearing on each end. The one way bearing has thick seals on the inner and outer ends. No issues with that area. Nice and clean.
