Title: Planked Yellow Tail

Did up a couple chunks kast night. Cedar plank, Yt, salt, pepper, lemon, garlic powder and maple syrup/ mayo glaze. Wife ate it all up.

How much longer to BBQ till done with a cedar plank vs directly on the grill???

NVR done any cedar plank cooking.

Inquiring minds want to know...

get it really hot. Make sure you soak the plank for a while. Watch for fire ................ maybe a 5 or so more mins.

I find the taste of the plank overwhelms the mildness of the fish. I only do it with fish that's been frozen a LONG time.

I don't do it all the time but we do like it. I like the hint of smoky taste. I have had good results with salmon, yellow tail, ling and sablefish. Give it a try ................. you never know.
