Title: Bv300 Spool Center Question
Post by: viningm on January 01, 2024, 12:19:48 AM
I recently purchased a BV 300 and noticed the spool is "centered" in the frame at freespool, but at strike, it shifts to the right to the point it recesses into the frame on the right side.  Is this normal?  I know the spool has to shift, but thought it would be closer to centered in strike while the drag is engaged and under load.  Thanks in advance!IMG_8724.jpegIMG_8725.jpeg

Yes, that's normal. When the lever is advanced the spool is pulled right into the drag plate. Most lever drags work that way. The others push the drag plate into the spool.
