Sounds to me like you don't need to hop on a charter boat. Good call on that !!

Also good to hear from you Mike. It's been a while since you've posted, and hope you have a great season chasing cats

I also forgot another member(forget who)got me started on Liquid mask.I got a quart at lowes on clearance & will probably go bad before I use it all, better than vaseline.I would dab the Mitchell etching with it then wipe off the excess. The etching will be masked then pick out with skewer.

If you have a couple of these around you'd like to sell, pls PM me.  It's the silent dog with the clip that makes contact with the ratchet.
Thanks.

Blackfish season is closed until Autumn so it's time to get it clean and do some upgrades. A good buddy gave me a green power handle and some suggestions from here. I am getting ready to take it apart.

Quote from: Reeltyme on May 14, 2024, 11:40:15 PMMike, those fatties look like a nice pull for sure. I don't think they are blues or flatheads, lord knows I could be wrong. What kind are they? Besides fun to catch!

Those are Channel Cats. The males turn a blue/grey color during the spawn...often being mistaken for Blue Catfish. :fish
