This winter I got a black max 2 this winter to learn how to use a baitcaster. It's a pretty nice little reel for a cheaper reel. I have recently got a Shimano Curado G6, so I'd have a little nicer reel. I don't plan on completely abandoning the black max. I'd like to tune it up a bit. I've already replaced the spool bearings with the boca bearing orange seal bearings. I was considering a carbontex drag if I can find one that'll fit. Does anyone know of a readily available carbontex drag washer that'll fit? Anything else anyone would recommend I could do to the reel? Thanks.
a standard drag upgrade and bearing service will go a long way!
