Hi Alan,

I have just read your "If I was going to bulid a reel" post in the Pacific Fishing blog.

Having just stripped down a Penn TRQ 100 last month, I think it is not a million miles from the spec you describe.

Not quite there but pretty close.

Just out of interest, what reel on the market at the moment do you feel comes closest to your ideal spec?

yes, i like the penn torques. the reel i actually had in mind was the progear classic series 500. i probably have 15 of these. great reels. alan
