Title: My JX 6/3 clicker won't turn off
Post by: stubert on March 12, 2019, 09:28:03 PM
Sent my JX 6/3 in to Avet last year for a service. They replaced all the bearings. Today, second time using it the clicker button would snap up into the on position by itself. When I push it down to turn it off, it almost seems like it is spring loaded and jumps back to the on position. I have not done anything yet, I wanted to get some opinions first. The reel is in like new condition, It did not do this before it was serviced. Any suggestions would be helpful. ( people think your an idiot when you leave it on )  Thanks, Stu

there is a black plastic collar that needs to be replaced.  you can get it from their website.

Is that the collar that it rides in? The one underneath the button on the outside?

correct!  remove the three side plate screws and the right side plate and spool come out as a unit.  then you  have access to the clicker mechanism.  very straight forward.

this is for a plain avet, not a raptor.
